A top-spec race helmet with a full carbon shell for less than £300? That’s perhaps the tallest order at MT helmets. But their design engineers and production team pulled out all the stops and have come up with this – the MT Rapide Pro Carbon.
Weighing in at an incredible 1,250 grams (size Medium), the Rapide Pro Carbon is our lightest full-face helmet, aimed directly at hardcore performance riding fans and regular track riders.
Of course it comes with the features you’d expect from a premium design: two outer shell sizes for optimised fit, double-D ring buckle, Quick Release visor system, removable washable liner and advanced multi-channel venting system.
Our engineers have also added a customisable rear spoiler system, which is supplied with two different bolt-on spoilers. For everyday riding there’s a low-profile standard spoiler, which smooths the airflow over the helmet for reduced noise and fatigue. Also included in the box is a radical extended spoiler, which has a more pronounced stabilising aerodynamic effect. The spoiler system is changed in seconds via a trio of superlight micro-Allen bolts and the spare spoiler comes in its own separate carrying bag.
Finally, the Rapide Pro has a Pinlock-ready visor, and comes with a fresh insert supplied in the box, together with a high-quality helmet bag.
